Missouri State Fair Hay Contest

The Twenty sixth annual statewide hay contest was held in August at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. Hay contest entries were judged on quality, laboratory analysis and visual score. The contest is held to make Missouri hay producers aware of hay’s nutritional value, and the potential for growing and marketing quality forages. The contest also showcases the state’s top forages for potential buyers.
