“I’m Pet Friendly” License Plate Spay and Neuter Grants
This grant program helps humane societies, animal shelters and non-profit rescue groups provide low-cost spay and neuter services to their communities.
You can make a difference for the pet population by purchasing “I’m Pet Friendly” license plates. The license plates, which cost $25 for the emblem use and $15 for the plate fee, support spay and neuter initiatives in licensed animal shelters and non-profit agencies. Your donations will be awarded to select shelters and agencies across the state that meet grant requirements determined by a three member panel and administered by the Missouri Department of Agriculture. Your donations are greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the health care of dogs and cats across Missouri. For more information about the “I’m Pet Friendly” license plates visit dor.mo.gov/motorv/plates/#preview.
Missouri Spay & Neuter Grant Program - Animal shelters, qualifying non-profits and government agencies with current or proposed spay/neuter programs are encouraged to apply for the Missouri Spay & Neuter grants. A three-member committee comprised of animal control and private humane society members from around the state will evaluate each application. Awards will be determined on availability of funds and evaluation of proposals. Last year, the Missouri Department of Agriculture administered the distribution of $20,000 to spay/neuter initiatives across Missouri. Applications for the 2013 grant program were due to the Missouri Department of Agriculture no later than February 15, 2013.
